How Polyscout Works
In short: we index, we rank, we notify.
We continuously index public on-chain activity from Polymarket. We rank traders by objective performance metrics. We send you alerts when wallets you follow make moves worth knowing about. Everything you see comes from public blockchain data — Polyscout doesn't connect to your wallet, doesn't hold funds, and doesn't execute trades.
Data sources
Polyscout aggregates data from publicly available sources. This includes on-chain transaction data from the Polygon blockchain (where Polymarket's smart contracts live), Polymarket's public APIs, and publicly visible leaderboard data. Because every Polymarket trade is executed on-chain, every transaction can be independently verified.
We index new blocks as they arrive on Polygon — roughly every two seconds — so the underlying transaction data is current to the latest block.
How traders are surfaced
Traders shown in the Polyscout leaderboard are selected based on objective performance metrics: realized and unrealized PnL, trading volume, win rate, and recent activity. The goal is to highlight consistently active and high-signal participants, not one-time winners.
The leaderboard refreshes hourly. You're not limited to the leaderboard, though — you can search and add any trader to your watchlist by their wallet address, even if they don't appear in the top.
Real-time updates
Polyscout continuously monitors blockchain activity for tracked wallets. When a meaningful event happens — a large trade, a position open or close, a significant shift in exposure — an alert is generated and delivered to your device.
Push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service (APNs), so you receive them even when the app isn't open.
What you control
You decide what to track and how to be notified. You can:
- Build a custom watchlist of any number of traders or wallets
- Set a minimum trade size threshold for alerts
- Choose which event types trigger notifications (new positions, exits, large trades, position changes)
- Mute or unfollow any tracked wallet at any time
There is no automated trading and no copy execution. Polyscout shows you what's happening — what you do with the information is your decision.
Privacy
Polyscout collects the minimum data required to operate: an email address (for account access), subscription state, and a device token used to deliver push notifications. The app does not require you to connect a crypto wallet, and it does not have access to user funds. All trader data shown in the app is public blockchain information.
You can delete your account at any time from the app settings.
