Frequently Asked Questions

About Polyscout

What is Polyscout?

Polyscout is an iOS app and web service for tracking top traders on Polymarket. It shows a leaderboard of high-performing wallets, lets you build a watchlist, and sends real-time alerts when tracked traders make significant moves. Polyscout is an analytics tool — it doesn't trade for you.

Who is Polyscout for?

Active Polymarket users, prediction market researchers, and anyone who wants to understand market behavior by watching what successful traders are actually doing — without manually parsing blockchain data.

Is Polyscout affiliated with Polymarket?

No. Polyscout is an independent third-party service. We use Polymarket's public on-chain data, but we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Polymarket.

Does Polyscout give trading advice?

No. Polyscout provides data and analytics only. We do not recommend trades, predict outcomes, or offer financial advice. All information is for informational and educational purposes.

Pricing and subscription

Is Polyscout free?

Yes — there's a free version with limited features. Full access requires a Polyscout Pro subscription.

What do I get with Polyscout Pro?

Pro includes unlimited watchlist size, push notifications with custom thresholds, full position history for any tracked wallet, and access to advanced filtering. Pricing is $3.99 per month or $11.99 per year, billed through Apple In-App Purchase.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. New users are eligible for a free trial period before billing starts. The trial converts to a paid plan automatically unless you cancel before it ends.

How do I cancel my subscription?

In your iPhone's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Polyscout → Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.

How do refunds work?

Refunds for App Store subscriptions are handled by Apple, not Polyscout. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How it works

How does Polyscout choose which traders to show?

Traders are ranked by objective metrics: realized and unrealized PnL, trading volume, win rate, and recent activity. The leaderboard prioritizes consistent performers over one-time large winners and refreshes hourly.

Are these real trades and positions?

Yes. All data comes from on-chain Polymarket transactions on Polygon. These are real wallets making real trades — Polyscout does not generate, simulate, or estimate any of it.

How often is data updated?

The underlying on-chain data is current to the latest Polygon block, which means every two seconds or so. The aggregated leaderboard refreshes hourly. Push alerts for tracked wallets fire as soon as the activity is detected.

Where does Polyscout get its data?

From public sources: the Polygon blockchain (Polymarket's smart contract events), Polymarket's public APIs, and Polymarket's public leaderboard endpoints.

Trading and actions

Is this just copy trading with extra steps?

No. Polyscout doesn't connect to your wallet, doesn't execute trades, and doesn't move funds. It shows you what other traders have done so you can make your own informed decisions. If you want to mirror a trade, you do it yourself on Polymarket.

Can I actually make money using this?

No guarantees. Polyscout gives you data, not edge. Following successful traders doesn't make you a successful trader — they may take losses, change strategies, or get lucky. Use the information as one input into your own thinking, not as a signal to act on blindly.

Can I copy or automatically follow trades?

No. Polyscout does not offer copy trading or automated execution.

Does Polyscout place or manage bets for me?

No. Polyscout is an information tool, not a trading platform. It does not connect to your wallet or execute transactions on your behalf.

Can I trade Polymarket through Polyscout?

No. To place trades on Polymarket, use the official Polymarket platform with your own wallet.

Privacy and data

What data does Polyscout collect?

Minimal data required to operate the service: your email address, subscription status, and a device token used for push notifications. We do not collect data about your crypto wallet, your trades, or your personal finances.

Do I need to connect a wallet?

No. All Polymarket data Polyscout shows is public on-chain information — no wallet connection is required.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. You can request account deletion from the app's settings. After confirmation, your account data is removed.

Technical

What devices does Polyscout support?

Polyscout is available on iOS via the App Store. The web service at polyscout.co provides leaderboard and trader information; full features including push notifications and watchlist sync are in the iOS app.

Does Polyscout work outside the US?

Yes. Polyscout is available in App Store regions worldwide. Note that Polymarket itself has regional restrictions for trading — Polyscout, as an analytics tool, does not place or facilitate trades and is not subject to those same restrictions.
